For 35 years, I have collected beads: woolen, vintage, clay, stone, bone, global, new old stock, funky, metal, glass, and classic crystal. Some new, some old - but all cool in their own way.
From these, I make earrings: bold, subtle, fun, nostalgic, whimsical, classy, you name it. You can find a pair perfect for a wine party, or a bowling party. A Happy Hour, or a rehearsal dinner. A zoom meeting, or a board meeting. A quick lunch, or Sunday brunch. A special gift, or a treat for yourself. We have something for every mood, style, and outfit. All of our earrings are handcrafted with love and care, and all are available on solid sterling silver or gold-filled ear wires.I am Jim Sullivan, proprietor of Lasting Expressions. When I was a 9-year-old latch-key kid living in public housing, a local artist and resident hippie taught a few of us kids how she made beaded earrings to sell at the farmer’s market on Saturdays. It was 1969 in Ann Arbor, and beads were literally all around us. I was hooked. Since that beginning, I have made earrings as gifts, owned a small beaded jewelry store sandwiched between a vintage clothing store and an Irish woolen sweater shop, and now the world is my neighborhood.
